Confirmation Letters

SGS prepares two kinds of letters for students:

  1. Confirmation of degree letter: both master’s and doctoral students may request a letter confirming that all degree requirements have been met. To request such a letter, complete the confirmation of degree form and fax it to SGS at 416-971-2864. Master's students can email masters@sgs.utoronto.ca; doctoral students can email doctoral@sgs.utoronto.ca. The Doctoral Examinations Office will produce one letter free of charge for doctoral students.

  2. Confirmation of registration letter: SGS provides proof of registration for various purposes such as securing student visas and maintaining OSAP interest-free status. To request such a letter, complete the confirmation of registration form and fax it to 416-946-0992 or email graduate.information@utoronto.ca.

There is no charge for letters. Please allow five days (or more during peak periods).

Fee Invoice

You are informed of fees payable through Student Web Services (ACORN/ROSI). Simply view your invoice on Student Web Services (ACORN/ROSI), which lists every transaction posted to your account. You are expected to monitor all account activity. Tuition is updated in real time and always reflects the most current situation.

Income Tax Receipt

Tax Credit Forms (T2202A) are issued in February. They may be downloaded and printed from Student Web Services (ACORN/ROSI).

Name/Gender Change

The way your name appears on the Student Web Services (ACORN/ROSI) is how it will appear on your diploma. Please review the way your name appears on Student Web Services (ACORN/ROSI). Change of name/gender is processed at SGS Student Services at 63 St. George Street, first floor counter. Should you wish to change your name (this includes middle names) or gender, please contact SGS Student Services at graduate.information@utoronto.ca.

Reactivating Student Web Services (ROSI) PIN

If you have forgotten your Student Web Services (ROSI) PIN, you may be able to use the PIN reactivation procedure to access your account. PIN reactivation is available if you have already set up for reactivation. To find out more, visit the Student Web Services (ACORN/ROSI) website.

If the reactivation procedure does not work, please reset your PIN by contacting SGS Student Services at 416-978-6614 or  graduate.information@utoronto.ca; or you may visit our office at 63 St George Street, Monday to Friday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
