A Program of the Health & Wellness Centre, University of Toronto
Healthy Grads (HGs) is a student-led team that provides health promotion programming
by graduate students for graduate students. The HGs team aims to address the needs of graduate students, including those related to mental health and integrating self-care into their daily routines. In addition, HGs help graduate students to navigate their way to appropriate resources on and off campus, including those offered through the Health & Wellness Centre.
The HGs team consists of graduate students representing a broad range of departments and faculties across the University of Toronto. The team works collaboratively with students, student groups, staff, faculty, and other campus and community partners to address health issues that are of importance to the graduate student community.
The team is responsible for coordinating health promotion events and wellness workshops for graduate students; organizing health education displays and social media campaigns; disseminating health-related information to students; and liaising with campus and community partners to develop and implement programming.
The Healthy Grads program was launched for the first time in September 2015, and serves as an important component of the wellness services and programs offered to graduate students at the University.
