Postdoctoral Fellows

A postdoctoral fellowship (PDF) provides an important stage in the transition from graduate student to independent scholar. Postdoctoral fellows are, in essence, trainees, who contract with the University and a specific faculty member to provide their services in exchange for developmental opportunities provided by the University. They are not employees. In light of the transitional nature of their status, post-doctoral fellowships are time limited.

Information for PDFs is divided into three sections
Becoming a Postdoctoral Fellow (information for newly-hired PDFs)
Engaging a Postdoctoral Fellow (information for faculty interesed in engaging a PDF)
Being a Postdoctoral Fellow at U of T
