Administrative Fee
All U of T PDFs must register with the Postdoctoral Office and pay the $200.00 annual administrative fee in person. The fee provides access to the career development program, the U of T Resources and Services, and facilitates library and email access. PDFs that have an engagement of less then 6 months duration are able to pay half the annual program fee. PDFs that have an engagement of 6 months to a year must pay the full annual program fee amount. Please note that PDF Parchments and letters confirming PDF engagements will not be released if the program annual fee has not been paid.
The payment (debit, VISA or MasterCard) can be made at the cashier’s desk on the first floor at 63 St. George Street, from Monday to Friday between 10 am to 4 pm. Once the payment is made please bring proof of payment to the Postdoctoral Office on the 3rd floor and your payment will be recorded.
Library Access
U of T PDFs who have been registered on the Postdoctoral Registration System by their unit must contact the Postdoctoral Office in order to obtain a letter to allow library access. This letter should be taken, with a piece of photo i.d., to the T-Card Office at Robarts Library (130 St. George Street, Room 2054A).
PDFs at the teaching hospitals may also have access to the library system if their supervisor is also a faculty member at the UofT. These PDFs must ask their supervisor to write a letter on hospital letterhead; the letter should indicate the PDF's name, date of birth, and the end date of the fellowship. This letter and a piece of photo i.d. should be taken to the address above to obtain library access.
List Serv
The Postdoctoral Office has created a U of T Postdoctoral listserv and this allows us to notify all our current U of T postdoctoral fellows of changes in services and to forward notices regarding awards competitions. Please note that subscription requests will only be accepted from U of T email accounts. Requests from non U of T email accounts will not be added to the listserv. To join the list please write to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.UTORONTO.CA and, in the text of your message (not the subject line), write: SUBSCRIBE POSTDOCS-L.
