The award is designed to recognize outstanding doctoral achievement by celebrating excellence at a critical stage of the PhD journey, and provide meaningful financial support, ensuring recipients are well supported as they advanced their research. • Have achieved candidacy and within the time limit for their degree
  • Expect to register in the next academic year, i.e. fall 2026 to take up the award
  • Demonstrate exceptional performance by consistently exceeding established benchmarks within the discipline

Application Process

Academic divisions will establish their own timelines, application, eligibility criteria, adjudication to best align with local award processes and initiatives.

Results

Results will be communicated to applicants by each division prior to the fall academic session.
