Pre-university education requires 12 years of study. The Matura or Medjunarodna Matura (International Baccaulaureat) is required for admission to university level institutions.
The development of private unversities has recently occurred. Private universities must be approved by the Croatian National Council for Higher Education. Contact your Student Services Officer to determine if a private university is recognized.
Bologna signatory since 2001.
The system offers three cycle – Bachelor’s (undergraduate, 180-240 ECTS credits), Master’s (graduate, 60-120 ECTS credits) and Doctoral degrees.
Diploma Supplements are issued effective 2008.
ECTS credit system is in use. Grading system is as above.
