Achieving Correctness – Online Workshop
- This event has passed.
March 15, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EDT
FreeThis online workshop is taught by Dr. Rachael Cayley
In order to produce effective academic writing, we need to follow basic rules of grammatical correctness. Even if we have a good understanding of the importance of tone, flow, and coherence in academic writing, we may still be puzzling our readers with our grammatical choices. In this workshop, we will review a range of grammatical issues that we know to be challenging to graduate student writers.
This is the fourth of 4 workshops in the Improving Your Graduate Writing series. This series of four workshops will provide an overview of key issues facing academic writers at the graduate level. In particular, we will look at four areas that often prove challenging: tone, flow, coherence, and correctness. This workshop series is appropriate for both native and non-native speakers of English.
This workshop will be offered live online and will not be recorded. Please register to receive a link to join the workshop at the scheduled time. If you are not able to register online or if you are not a currently registered U of T graduate student, please contact Lauren at sgs.gcac@utoronto.ca and she will register you manually.
