Getting Unstuck: When Wellness Gets in the Way of Writing – Online Synchronous Workshop

  • This event has passed.

March 24 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

Free

This session will be jointly led by Jane Freeman, Director of GCAC, and Chad Jankowski from the Arts & Science mental health team

In this workshop we will consider a few common roadblocks faced by graduate writers and explore the ways that a focus on your wellbeing can enhance your ability to write.  We will examine a set of protective mental health practices that help us feel and function better and discuss how to recognize when these practices just aren’t enough and additional support is needed. The session will also help you navigate the range of mental health resources by introducing you to key services, offices, and people that can help you find the supports that best meet your needs.

This is the fourth of 4 workshops in the Productive Partnerships for Graduate Writers workshop series.

This workshop will be offered live online and will not be recorded. Please register to receive a link to join the workshop at the scheduled time. If you are not able to register online or if you are not a currently registered U of T graduate student, please contact Sarah at sgs.gcac@utoronto.ca and she will register you manually.
