Improving Confidence and Effectiveness in Informal Speaking

Informal interactions are an important part of academic life, whether at conferences, in class discussion, or during lab work. The challenges of expressing ourselves fluently in these situations include using appropriate grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. However, improving these skills can take time; so what can we do to maximize our ability to speak with clarity, authenticity, and authority in the meantime? This workshop will focus on practical strategies to improve confidence and effectiveness in informal speaking situations.
