Understanding and Applying Email Etiquette – Online Workshop
April 16 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm EDT
This online workshop is taught by Clare Nippard.
We are increasingly reliant on email for our academic interactions, and this can be problematic. It can be challenging to know how to appropriately express ourselves when communicating, for example, with a supervisor, or a student if you are a TA. This workshop takes a case-study approach to address practical issues such as when to use email, what to include, and how to achieve the right level of formality. Please note that the workshop is offered on two different dates to allow maximum attendance.
This online workshop will be offered through Zoom. You are welcome to join the workshop without audio and video.
Registration is required to receive the Zoom link to join this workshop. If you are not able to register online (i.e. if you are not a currently registered U of T graduate student), please contact Lauren at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will register you manually.
