Writing Effective Academic Emails – Online Workshop

To be effective, emails need to both achieve their purpose and leave a good impression of the sender. As many of our academic interactions now take place over email, it is more important than ever to make sure that we are expressing ourselves appropriately and avoiding miscommunication. This workshop will use a case-study approach to consider questions such as how to achieve the right level of formality, what to include in an email, and how to open and close an email.
This is the first of 2 workshops in the Preparing for Academic Writing and Speaking in English workshop series.
