Alumna (2010), Master of Biotechnology
“The sense of camaraderie is amazing.”
I chose U of T because the Master of Biotechnology [MBiotech] program provides a unique mix. It gives students a strong combination of science and business courses as well as industry experience.
The program provided me with soft skills that are transferable: extensive teamwork, presentation experience, writing skills, analytical reasoning, and the “bigger picture” perspective on how the field operates. In addition, the program facilitates relevant industry internships.
The sense of camaraderie is amazing, especially when you are seated together in the MBiotech boardroom working on projects late at night!
Living and attending university in Mississauga also made it a wonderful experience. Mississauga is a great city, with an even stronger sense of community. It gives you a suburban feeling in a very urban setting. It’s a rare mix. I love Mississauga, and it is where I’ve been residing since first joining U of T as an undergraduate student.
