Ostap Soroka


Ostap is a Languages and Literacies Education MA candidate, at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, where he is focusing on socio-linguistic anthropology and finishing his thesis on the proliferation of remedial English courses in the Ontario college system. His previous studies include French and Italian literature, English language editing, translation, and classical music. Ostap was a professional theatre and voice actor for two decades, while also being a researcher, writer, editor, and for the last several years a teacher of academic English writing and speaking. At GCAC, Ostap teaches “Oral Presentation Skills for Professional Master’s Students”.
