This leadership and graduate professional development intensive experience takes place in July and is comprised of skill-based workshops that support leadership development and managing transitions. All workshops are fully accredited by SGS towards the GPS transcript notation. Registration for the July Summer Institute in Graduate Professional Development is open, but due to the small class size for each session you must apply.  We are partnering with Hart House to offer two arts-based professional development workshops.

In the first online Hart House workshop series, Online Presentation Practices, theatre director Jeremy Hutton will offer feedback on how to improve your zoom presentations.
Dates and times: 7-8:30pm, July  14 and 21, 2020 (2 day x 90 minute class)

The second online Hart House workshop series, Voice and Speech: Ground Breath and Elevate Connection, is by artist and theatre instructor Matthew Rossof.  In the four-part series, he will offer a seamless combination of Kristin Linklater-inspired vocal technique and restorative body work that will connect the breath channel to your everyday speaking voice.
Dates and times: Wednesday and Friday from 11:30am-1:00pm. July 8, 10, 15, 17, 2020 (4 day x 90 minute class)

In the third workshop series, we will be offering two cohorts of the three-week Designing Your Professional Life workshop series.  Based on Stanford’s “Design Your Life” course, we apply design thinking principles to the question of how to live a meaningful life.
Cohort 1: The online class will be held on Tuesdays from 10-11:30am July 7-21.
Cohort 2: The online class will be held on Thursdays from 10-11:30am July 9-23.
