The Master of Nursing (MN) program prepares advanced nursing practitioners with specialized knowledge, skills, and expertise in a defined area of nursing to design programs and influence practice. The program offers three fields:

  1. Clinical Nursing

  2. Health Systems Leadership and Administration

  3. Nurse Practitioner 


The Doctor of Philosophy program prepares scientists with the required analytical and research skills to study nursing, health systems, or other related problems. Students study in one of three research fields:

  1. Effective Care and Health Outcomes

  2. Critical Approaches to Health and Health Care

  3. Nursing Health Systems

Base Funding Amount -

Graduate units determine a base funding amount for doctoral research stream programs and the number of years that the student will be eligible. In addition to the Base Funding, all eligible students will receive the cost of academic tuition and fees. More information about Base Funding can be found at .​

Actual Income -

Students often have the opportunity to earn additional income through research stipends, internal and external fellowships, RA employment income and TA-ships. Therefore, the average actual income of students in a program is typically higher than the Base Funding amount in that program. More information about Actual Incomes can be found at .
