Dr. Giulia Rossi is a NSERC-funded postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biological Science where her research explores the metabolic physiology of hummingbirds. Giulia is passionate about the professional development of her graduate and undergraduate students. In her capacity as a mentor, she engages students with the scientific method, teaches technical and presentation skills (writing and oral), and empowers students to achieve success. Giulia is joining the GCAC as a writing consultant for the ‘Writing NSERC Proposals’ course and will be teaching the ‘Oral Presentation Skills’ course.
