Establishing Structural Coherence – Online Synchronous Workshop
- This event has passed.
March 2 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm EST
This workshop is taught by Dr. Rachael Cayley
Academic writing can be unwieldy and confusing, even to the person who wrote it. And readers often struggle to engage with a text when they cannot understand the overarching structure. In this workshop, we will consider three strategies for improving the structure of academic writing: developing structure through paragraphing; signaling structure through metadiscourse; and revising structure through reverse outlining.
This is the first of 4 workshops in the Improving Your Graduate Writing workshop series.
This workshop will be offered live online and will not be recorded.
