We’re making our data more accessible
SGS is also making this data available as an overall commitment to data transparency. U of T has joined a growing number of international research institutions as a member of the Coalition for Next Generation Life Sciences (NGLS) because we are committed to the shared mission of collecting and publishing data using common standards to promote informed decision making. As a member, we are asked to publish data on doctoral programs in the Life Sciences, but we decided to make this data available for all of our doctoral programs. You will find all of this data in the dashboards below.

Demographic data
The University of Toronto and the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) recognize that our scholarship, research, and educational activities occur within a highly diverse societal context. Within our commitment to academic and practice excellence, we seek to recruit a graduate student body that is inclusive and reflective of the diversity found within Canadian communities, including, but not limited to racialized persons / persons of colour, Indigenous / Aboriginal People of North America, LGBTQ persons, persons with differing abilities, mature students, and students from varying faith / spiritual communities.
Survey data
Your survey responses help us identify our strengths and ensure that our graduate programs continue to improve, inspire, and set the course for high standards of academic excellence.
