Pursuing graduate studies means so many different things to different people. For some, it is a chance to make a novel discovery, or to pursue a passion. For others, it is an opportunity to develop career potential, or to follow a path toward improving the world we live in.
We’ve created the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) website with this diversity of interests in mind. Wherever possible, we’ve included personal stories about our students, staff, and alumni so that you can learn firsthand about their aspirations and experiences, and even take away a few words of advice. We share resources about graduate supervision as well as tips to complete a doctoral-stream program as efficiently as possible.
We also keep you updated with the latest news affecting the graduate community (see the archive of our Gradschool e-news, a monthly newsletter distributed to all registered students). Our Graduate Funding Data dashboard and 10,000 PhDs dashboard invite you to explore recent data about graduate funding packages and employment outcomes of recent PhD graduates respectively.
At the School of Graduate Studies, we aim to provide support, encouragement, and clarity during all stages of the graduate experience. If you do not find what you’re looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us, or drop by SGS Academic Services at 63 St. George Street.
